Last week no one wanted to show up for work so I racked up 31 hours plus two cafe shifts and a babysitting gig. Monday-Sunday baby...not bad. But then THIS WEEK everyone decided to be healthy or back in town...shoot.
Plan G. I am going to be working at this cute little cafe called Bondi Picnic with my Brit Brit from Canada. When I walked in asking about a job and dropping Brittney's name they told me they would only allow one Canadian to work there....HA !Jokes on them....I said but I am from AMERICA!!! I train tonight. I am really living the BOndi life while I am here. Working at cafes and beaching it up when summer is in the mood to shine the sun.
Yesterday I had a short shift with the childcare agency I work for, but instead of working with babies or preschoolers I was with the older school age kids at an after school program. I felt like I was back in my element. I taught them how to play my favorite basketball games PIG and LIGHTING. As much as I am enjoying these...for the most part relaxed jobs... after yesterday I am ready to go head first into the J.O.B hunt for that life long dream of being a 2nd grade teacher. I think I will be looking at what Chicago has to offer me....
Some more exciting news is my dear sweet Eleanor has arrived in SYD. She has been doing the JOB hunt, sleeping in hostels, our couch and back in hostels. It is SO GREAT to have her here. We met in Thailand teaching our little Assumption Students. It has been a real treat to reflect about our time we spent there and all of the adventures we did this past year. Eleanor is one of the smartest and good humored people I know. I am sure she will become a constant character in the up and coming blog posts!

Oh OH oh there is a USA store in the shopping center where I found some 5 hour energy cocktails
. Sometimes I stumble in there and stock up. You know just in case I am low on energy. Also in case of emergencies where our friends start drinking to early on Saturday and we really want them to hangout and make it to dance parties Saturday night....
