Welcome to Melbourne!  It was a quick plane ride over to this great city for a weekend of nothing but fun.
We found some great spots but a favorite was this gem of a place Brad and I stumbled upon on Thursday night. A cheap, fast, delicious dumpling joint.  We were such a fan of the spot we brought some of the crew back Friday night. We had no choice since we could not stop talking about the $10.00 BT of wine, prawn and spinach dumplings and the biggest noodle soup bowl known to man.

Friday we kick started the day on the famous Degraves street.  Well wait, back up we actually started at this market where I found a awesome fascinator for 15 bucks!  I had three to choose from already in my suitcase but then found one that was quite perfect and a little more derby-dayish. We also discovered fruit stands where we could get fresh fruit for very cheap and since we were in money saving mode the boys purchased flasks from a guy who did some complementary engraving. Then it was off to Degraves for a few Skinny Flats, Long Blacks and Skinny Caps with fresh veggie omelets and hearty toast.

It is 5 o'clock somewhere and Friday at noon the clock hit 5 at Madame Brussels. This place was like stepping into another time zone. Old fashioned garden party and I felt under dressed and the urge for costumes and wigs was stirring.

The horse whisper. Telling this horse to tell his brothers to win him lots of money Saturday. Ok, actually he was going to pick up an apple and try to feed it to him until he saw the teeth on this little pony and decided to just pet him instead.

Housematies

Karter did not eat all of his brekke and was going for my hat!

If we were going to start a band this most likely would be in the running for the album cover

My favorite picture taken all weekend. I heart this boy.

Some shots taken at this groovy little street with lots of graffiti AKA street work
