This is where I was from 10AM to 5PM three days in a row. The water was warm, the sun was hot, my body is bronzed.
Sunday afternoon. The weekend of sun, huka and dance parties got to me. Just taking a nap before the speed boat came to get us to bring us to mainland. I like to say I became one with the sand and water this weekend.
Dinner Friday night. They hung lights from trees to make it pretty much a scene from a postcard every way you turned
Beer, huka and firemen. We sat out by the beach at night on rugs and pillows. Listened to live music then watched guys twirl fire. IS THIS REAL LIFE?
Count your lucky tan lines--if you were at home your cheeks would have been just as rosy, except it would have been from frost bite not sun burn. The first blizzard of the winter of 2010-2011 brought enough snow to collapse the roof of the Metrodome and subzero wind chills. Glad you were able to avoid the pain of a winter storm. Keep up the great blogging--we are envious. Love, DOTP
ReplyDeleteI wish you guys were there with me. I can only imagine a Dietsch family weekend on an island living in a hut. I miss you guys! WEEEEEEEEEE UUUUUUU!!!
